According to Sony's Howard Stringer, Wii is expensive. I guess he isn't that good at math, considering that Wii launched at $250 and Sony's PlayStation 3 launched at $500 to $600. Even after the price fell from outrageous to ridiculous, it will still set you back $400 to $500. According to my math classes, that is still higher than $250.

This is more of the same kind of BS spin we've come to know from Sony. They're still trailing laughably behind Wii and bleeding money by the billions of dollars while Nintendo makes profits all around, so we hear Sony spinning it around to save face a bit.
It could be argued that because Wii's hardware is a lot less powerful than the PS3 or Xbox 360, Wii's price should be a lot lower, as well. The fact of the matter is that companies aren't
supposed to be selling their products at massive losses. If Sony was actually pricing the PS3 so that they're not taking losses from hardware sales, gamers would be paying closer to $700 or more for a PS3, which
is quite a bit higher than $250 for a Wii. It's Sony's own fault that they're not only bleeding money but at the same time
still trailing behind Wii in sales.
