| I bought me a cap online. This is a terrible picture of it, but the cap I bought is a replica of the one Lewis Hamilton wears on race weekend. It's the orange one he's often photographed wearing. It has their main Vodafone sponsor on the front, McLaren-Mercedes on the visor, the Union Jack (Hamilton's home flag) on the back, and Hamilton's signature embroidered into the side. It was available from the store at Formula1.com. It is priced at £21.27 (British pounds), which unfortunately comes to $44.18 (US dollars) after our poor exchange rate. On top of that, shipping to the US is an additional $14.44, up from $9.35 had I been living in the UK (not sure why my currency would be US dollars if I was living in the UK). At least by living in the US I got by without the sales tax, which would have added several more US dollars ($7.73 to be precise) to the price had I been living in the UK. (Evidently they have a much higher tax rate over there.) | |
